Organizing to start my book project

Well, we have 12" of snow on the ground and today a 40 mph wind. That means I have 1/2 mile of 4 foot snow drifts between me and the shop, good day for paperwork to get caught up.

Anyway, starting to get organzied to put things together to make a documentary type book of the history of the APS wildcat family and decided I needed to round up all the members. Most you all know very well, some you likely have never heard of since I have not spoken of some of these as of yet. There is always someone asking for a picture of all the APS wildcats together. Well, here is the only complete one at this time.

From left to right:

510 Allen Magnum, 458 Allen Magnum(in R&D stages), 50 Allen Tactical(long range), 50 Allen Tactical (close range big game hunting), 458 Allen Tactical (in R&D stages), 410 Allen Magnum, 375 Allen Magnum, 338 Allen Magnum, 410 Allen Xpress (R&D stage), 375 Allen Xpress, 338 Allen Xpress, 300 Allen Xpress, 7mm Allen Magnum, 277 Allen Magnum, 338 Ultra Maxx, 270 Allen Magnum, 6.5mm Allen Magnum, 257 Allen Magnum, 270 Allen Xpress, 6.5mm Allen Xpress, 257 Allen Xpress, 6mm Allen Magnum and 224 Allen Magnum.

As you can see, there are 6 parent cases for these 23 wildcats: 50 BMG, 408 Chey Tac, 338 Lapua, RUM, Dakota and 270 WSM.

23 in total. Its been a busy 6 1/2 years!!!

Boy, my 338AX looks pretty small in the likes of that group!! and here I thought it was a cannon..LoL.

I sent an e-mail late last night with some questions about it, don't know if you've had a chance to look at it though.?

I've gotta go break snow drifts and feed horses. Sounds like you got more snow than we did, biggest drift I can see is about 3' tall. We get way more wind than snow here.

WOW!! Nice family portrait!!!!

When I started this adventure I had my eye on the 224 AM. Still have pics on the wall at home.

Ended up starting with the 270 AM which turned out super in all ways.

My last act of defiance was the 375 AM. Only 4 shots so far, but its a dream to shoot. Not that much difference on the back end and hardly none on the front end as far as time of flight and trajectory.

Me is beginning to think that the 6.5 AM would be some kind of unit in an SP......... There I go again.......dreamin'gun)

Bob, I had forgotten that story. I see why it is your favorite. What a couple of fine students you had, quick studies for sure. I can imagine how very proud you were. A really nice write-up and great pics to go with it. Thanks for tweaking my failing memory.
