older savage identification help

I came across a savage 110 in 22-250 and I would like to know a little more about it. the serial number is 58610 . i would like to know the age and if there is any collector value .I called savage and they couldn't go back that far but wanted me to send $65.00 bucks to there archive department to tell me anything about it.

I doubt there is any collector value unless it was some sort of collector edition--condition is key then

Its my understanding Savage serial numbers that do NOT have a letter prefix were manufactured prior to the 1968 Gun Control Act. Attached is a table that may help you identify the manufactured date. Look for an oval with a letter within it. Correlate to the table to find year. Hopefully this will get your there.

110p was 1964-1980
110c was 1966-1986
110d was 1972-1988
110v was 1983-1994

conflicting info online as some say earliest 110 was 1963 , others say it was 1958

They state it is 1958 which I believe is correct from all the research I have done on other Savage 110's that I was interested in. My first rifle was a 110C built in 1967.
