Jon, would that tight of twist be detrimental to velocity?

Theoretically maybe a couple fps but I'd be surprised if the loss is noticeable above the usual noise of barrel to barrel variation. I noticed no loss going from 1:10 to 1:9 so I don't expect any noticeable loss going from 1:9 to 1:8.

The fact that a 1:8 will handle the 265 Wildcat while the 1:9 won't is what I'm worried about and why I make the recommendation. It really makes the worry about a couple fps difference trivial.
