Ok guys im TORN... 7mmRUM, 300RUM, 30-375 or 338RUM??

yeah guys I guess the 300rum is gunna be my selection.

I looked for the rifle mentioned for sale... couldnt find anything... got a link?

whats sad is now I keep readin on the mcmillan stocks, the look to have more options than what h-s offers. seems most people here uses the mcmillans.

I believe what Steve was reffering to was Kirby's new line of rifles...

Kirby also has this one fore sale in the classiifieds...

For an aluminum bedded stock, I would go with a B&C which IMO are just as good as the HS stocks for about $100 less.

As far as I know, McMillans dont have full aluminum beds but they can come with pillars. They cost more than B&C's and cant really comment on the comparative value.

boy I surely do like that new action! May be changing my mind. AGAIN... but the caliber is definate! lol

on another not I realized I was refered to the wrong action in my previous posts, its not the diamondback its the predator by stiller.

I like that rifle in the for sale section... I think I want this rifle to be built from parts I specify though. I have only bought a couple things second hand... 1 truck, 2 atvs and a couple of old vehicles(like my 1980 cj5, 68 camaro and 46 chevy truck) Just something about being the first person to use something that I love! lol

I believe the only firing of that rifle was done by Kirby when he tested it. No more than if you had ordered it.

I understand what you are saying though. Wait for yours, or buy his.

The barrel twist is one reason that rifle isnt very appealing to me... its a 1 in 12.

300 RUM
Lawton M7000 receiver
Lawton 20 moa steel rail base
Holland Comp recoil lug
Saturn LT Varmint contour(similiar to #7 contour), 1-8, 5S rifling
APS Slim PK muzzle brake
Bead Blast Matte finish
Wyatts 3.820" extended mag box
Rem 700 BDL Floorplate
McMillan HTG stock, decel pad 60% Black 40% Dark green

Here is the specs from the post. Note the barrel, 1-8, 5S rifling.

Here is his last post.

Got the 300 RUM in yesterday. This rifle is still brand new condition. The barrel break in was not even finished yet. I know this because I loaded up 25 rounds for the customer when he picked it up for the barrel break in and he brought them back with the rifle so the only rounds put through it were accuracy testing and thats it. I think I may have listed this rifle with a Jewell trigger, if so, that was a mistake, it has a Rifles Basix trigger, still a fine trigger, just not a jewell, wanted to make sure I made sure I was getting you the right information, also the barrel is roughly 28.5" in length. I think I listed it at 29" or 30".

Here are a couple pictures. I mounted one of my Leupold Mk4 4.5-14x 50mm on the rifle just because they look so much better with a scope mounted for pictures. You will notice that the rail base on the Lawton is very high compared to most. as such the scope appears to be very high mounted with its medium high NF rings and it is. This is an easy fix, just use low height rings and they work just great.

Again, first come first serve. This is a great rifle and for the asking price, if you wanted to get into a medium weight rifle that offered legit 1K reach, this would be very hard to beat. Again, its set up with a 1-8 twist Saturn 5S barrel so it will handle the big 240 gr SMK or aluminum tipped bullets but also works just as well with any SMK or Accubond bullet so your certainly not limited to using only the ultra heavy bullets.
