I know this is more of a "tactical" thing, but is anyone running a piggy backed or offset red dot sight on your scope? I was considering this as an alternative to lugging my shotgun around for those close/fast shots when the dogs charge the caller. Seem like it would save a step, instead of transitioning weapons during a critical moment just lifting the head slightly and still using my bolt gun. Would add about 3oz to my rifle but save several pounds without the shotgun. Thoughts?
