This one's been sitting for a while. Dusted it off and shot it today. First three went right in there, so I shot a fourth. Didn't have the nerve to go for number five. I usually only shoot three shot groups with rifles that I already have a solid load for when checking zero.

1975 Browning model 78. 6mm Remington, 87gr V-Max. Original bases and rings. Redfield Master 12X scope.

Have had a number of these over the years and still have the first one... 30-06 octagon barrel rechambered to 300 H'nH... Most have gorgeous wood on them and the bluing and machine work by Miroku was par excellence...!! They are getting expensive though, running in the $1500 range. This is a 30-06 with a round barrel I had restocked (Gary Goudy, Dayton, WA) and redone in Cerakote, gone down the road somewhere in Texas:

Gary Goudy...now there is a famous stockmaker.

Anyone know if he's still with us? I attempted to get in touch with him last year to see if he was still taking work but got no answer. I'm assuming he's retired for good. Last meeting I had with him is probably 3, maybe four years ago and I remember him saying he was in his middle 80's...
