Hi all,
Just received my new shipment of 210gr ABLR, has anyone seen a different ogive length from lot to lot?
My seater has not changed, but the measurement to the ogive is different.

Anyone else seen this?

Cheers.

I have not used the 210's but I tried the 6.5 142's and I hope your 210 are nothing like the 142's I had. They had different ogive length from bullet to bullet and different weights all in the same box. I bought then several years ago but today me and the wife was cleaning house and I put them in the trash. She looked a little confused. I said they never shot very well and I was tired of trying to find a good load with them. I had totally given up on. That being said I had heard they did have some issue early on so maybe that been resolved.

Thanks for the reply.
Interesting, I also use the 6.5 142gr in my 6.5x47 and 264WM, have had zero issues with them, no issues with the 6.5 129gr either, so far.

I will send an email with the lot# to Nosler and see what they say.

My 210gr RDF order also arrived, so got some bullet sorting to do.

Cheers.

I've seen some differences in the 6.5 129s. .002-.005. Hasn't been enough to effect accuracy in my gun.

Are you seeing bigger differences than that?

I tried the 210 ABLR in a custom built 30 Nosler and could not get them to group acceptably. In fairness to Nosler, I was reloading their factory 2nds but they claim the only difference is cosmetics.

If my tests prove true, all of the ABLR I have tried so far have preferred to be run at top pressure/velocity.

I'm getting 3050fps give or take 10fps ES with them in 2 26" tubes.
If I drop to the lower node at 2930fps, they don't group as tight.
Average group size at 600mtr is 3/8MoA. With the lower node, the group's average 1/2MoA. Still good, but have been bettered.

Cheers.
