There is no range within a couple hundred miles of this area {Craig, Hayden, Maybell, Lay, Rangely} that is farther than 400 yards. I have guys who come through always asking where I go when I am in the area.
So I often find myself scoping out areas to do some shootin'.
40.390181, -107,803322 = east to west will get you over a mile, and you can drive it out. this turn off is just southbound of Hamilton on CO hwy. 13
Wind is generally mild, limited access in winter months. For the most part its a nice hidden little gem.
