I'm not a huge fan of Butler Creeks, because they don't seem to stay closed after awhile. I will try the Scopecoat cover as per AJ.
I don't like the butler creeks on the Nightforce NXS, since the entire ocular turns when moving the magnification (unlike the Leupolds). I use Butler creek flip ups on my Leupolds, but they are walk around rifles, not sit and wait/LR rifles.

Nope, the Butler Creeks are the best you can get -for field use
Wish makers(other than Leupold) would thread their scopes to camera standards. Then we could use Alumina flip-ups on every brand.
They are flat out the best I've used.
