Nightforce scope covers

What is everyone using for scope covers on there Nightforce scopes. Butler Creek is ok, but is there something better out there?

I'm just using the ScopeCoat neoprene cover until I'm in position.

Nope, the Butler Creeks are the best you can get -for field use

Wish makers(other than Leupold) would thread their scopes to camera standards. Then we could use Alumina flip-ups on every brand.
They are flat out the best I've used.

I don't like the butler creeks on the Nightforce NXS, since the entire ocular turns when moving the magnification (unlike the Leupolds). I use Butler creek flip ups on my Leupolds, but they are walk around rifles, not sit and wait/LR rifles.

I'm not a huge fan of Butler Creeks, because they don't seem to stay closed after awhile. I will try the Scopecoat cover as per AJ.

I use the Butler Creeks. For the 50mm you use a #43 but sometimes you we get ones that do not fit really well. It seams if Butler Creek made the #43 walls thicker they would work just fine. You go to a #44 but you have to tape the inside to give it a tighter fit or tape the outside.

I'm not a big fan of the BC's either I have some, they are delicate and on the NSX they are difficult to orientate properly if you change power settings.

I use this only on my dedicated LR rifles. Once I get 'on stand', the cover comes off and I go without anything.

I sure dont think the BC covers are as strong as they once were. I have used them for years but recently have broken several on the NF scope, particuarly the objective at the pivot point. They just seem cheap now ?? But there is not anything better yet

If I have time to change the power setting, I have time to pull the cover completely off which is most of the time.

I have two or three Scope Coats and like them. The neoprene foam absorbs shock and protects the knobs from limbs. They don't break either.

When a rifle is put in a hard case and travels thousands of miles, the extra protection makes me feel better.

The BC scope covers do break easy. I broke one the other day when the bill of my cap hit the open cover during recoil and snapped it off

FYI they will fit on a NF NXS 50mm objective

Len Backus, John Barsness, and Charles Speck here on Long Range Hunting all are familiar with the ScopeShield(tm) scope covers. Unlike the ScopeCoat, which is excellent for the rack, the ScopeShield is specifically designed for use in the field as well.

They simply solve the problems discussed above.
