I have a D-740 I just got from TNVC. Standard tube, the Pinnacle is only 5.56 rated. I swap it with my day scope with LaRue QD mounts. I also mount a TNVC Torch Pro under the stock. It works really well on my rifle. Unfortunately, it's over your budget at around $4000. You could give a call to Victor at TNVC and explore your options.
