I have 2 NIB Christensen 17" forend CF/lightweight chassis.
One 700 SA in Tungsten and one 700 LA in black.

Fantastically lightweight chassis (3.5 lbs or less) with a folding stock that locks up very securely.

Was intending to build a couple lightweight hunting setups, but haven't gotten around to it and have other priorities, so looking to pass these to someone who will use them.
$1095 each.

PM if interested.

Yes, not at the hinge, but there's a magnet on the side (right in front of the bolt cutout )that attaches to a stud on the buttstock and latches it folded closed.

Thanks for answering my questions. I hunt mainly off horse back and with the longer barrels it pushes the stock up towards the neck more and was thinking a folding stock might be the ticket. But I think it would need an actual latch. I'm just not sure.

Using my trigger pull gauge, it takes an average of 4lb 4 oz to unlock from the magnet. Even after unlocking, the hinge is quite stiff and won't swing open on its own. I turned it over so the buttstock was down and shook it repeatedly with quite a bit of force and couldn't get it to unlock/fold open. I don't think you'll have any issues

The problem is sometimes you will get caught up on limbs and such in the thicker parts and it would snag. And if it opens up all the time it defeats the purpose of having a folding stock. But thanks.
