Was thinking about getting into predator hunting. Is there night vision riflescopes that can be had for under a 1000 that are worth the price and work well?

Atn maybe. By maybe I mean value to money per your prospective.
Gen 2 and 3 nods usually are exceptional compared to affordable. I tried to put a FLIR scout on my rifle using my nightvision adapter. Long story short, don't. Doesn't handle recoil well.

But the ATN would probably be the best bet for predator or pig hunting in a affordable price point.

To answer your question in my opinion no. Save your money. Find a Pulsar 50 ( thermal ) on sale. You can rent until then. Don't take my word for it. Go to you tube and watch videos of hunts using units you are thinking about buying.

I have the Pulsar XP 50 and it is great as long as its not snowing or really foggy the clarity is outstanding. You can pick one up for around $4,000.
