I just closed the deal on a McMillan TAC-50. Its an older one with a single shot bolt that feeds from behind.
What does the name Fisher mean in front of the serial number??

Here it is. Is that muzzle brake a good one?

Gosh its scary that no one is commenting on this purchase. Is it a bad idea? Feel free to say something if I have missed something. I can still back out.....LOL

I'm storing a friends McM Tac50 repeater and while it doesn't resemble the one you posted this one shoots pretty good, it has a less than adequate muzzle brake, the one on the rifle you posted also looks inadequate, the AR50 style brake is the best I've seen/shot so I'd invest in one of those.
Over all the McMillan Tac50 is a very good shooter package if one want's to get in the 50 MMG game, JMHO, YMMV.
PM if you want to discuss this matter.

Rock McMillan made those actions mostly to order and would/could use your name in the serial number.

Thankyou. This makes sense. I am a manufacturer and know of that possibility but have never used it myself so had forgotten about it. Helps with the provinance of the weapon.

That's a impressive looking Rifle !
Keep us posted on how you like it ..

My buddy has a McMillan 50 cal with a Christensen Carbon fiber barrel .I'm looking for a 60 moa base for him.
He wants me to shoot it first! Ha ha

No I havent . I had one located awhile back . He was busy with other projects and we didnt jump on it .
I have found a 38 moa and that might be the way we go . It will be tough to stretch it way out around here anyway .
Thank you !

Of course if you are really serious then a prisim is the way to go. When you consider the other money you have spent, a prisim isnt that expensive.

I run a Valdada 200 min adj.base on my Elr set up . It's been out to 3027 yards do far . If things work out this fall I'm going to try 2 miles .

I am thinking that the Valdada might be good for me. I have problems getting low enough because of my high cheek bones...........I may be related to Senator Pocahontis.??
