I'm a 67 year old recently retired HR Advisor. I had not shot for about 30 years after moving to the State of Queensland to a new job but always missed hunting. Unfortunately I'd sold my rifles at that time and had to go through the procedure of applying for a firearms license.
With training and back ground checks this took about 8 weeks, then an application to acquire a firearm that took about a week and I then purchased a T/C Venture 308 with a Meopta 3-9x42 which shoots really well.
After a few trips to the range last weekend I finally got to go hunting and bagged a nice young fallow buck for the pot. It's good to be back hunting.
The Long Range Hunting site is interesting and educational.
Thanks Reg
