Hi all. I stumbled upon this site by chance while looking for information on ballistics. Have just purchased a Blaser R8 in .270 Win with Zeiss 2.5-10 after having previously hunted with a BRNO .270. Why another 270? 
- just that it's a round that I'm familiar with and it seems to be a good all rounder for the NZ environment where I might get to hunt Reds, Fallow, Chamois and Tahr. Aged 55 but still pretty much a novice hunter in the Tasman district. It seems like there is a good deal of informed comment in these forums and I'm looking forward to soaking some of it up.
