JUST GETTING BACK INTO LONG RANGE SHOOTING ..JUST BOUGHT A CUSTOM SAKO 5 IN A 300 WIN. MAG ..INSTALLED A ZEISS CONQUEST 6.5-20X50MM ON IT AND I AM READY TO SHOOT gun)
 
Welcome, glad to have you here. Lots of good folks and lots of good info. I heard they closed the Huntington and Islip Ranges quite some time ago...sad. Used to hunt in upstate near Durham. Left Melville and NY in 83. Enjoy.

yes ....I been going to the brookhaven range ..clean,good benches and you can shoot 200 yards ...for longer distances I will have to go upstate ...
 
posting pics is easy. I use photobucket its free you have to upload your pics to there from your computer. After that you just copy and past the 4th line down, what I mean buy that is after you have posted a pic to your photo bucket account it will give you 4 diffrent HTML codes you want the forth one down this will make your pic post right to your thread.

Dont erase a pic from the photo bucket account however or it will not show in your thread anymore after that.

Went to Brookhaven back in the mid sixties, I hear it's the only outdoor range left on the Island. From Bellmore that's quite a hike but, hey one's got to do what one's got to do to shoot. Enjoy.

you still have calverton range but it is farther for me and is unorganized,messy ......
 
Never knew about Calverton...when did that one open? Perhaps I had left NY by then...83'
