New Canadian looking for LR rig...

Hi guys, good looking site here. I'd lke to try a lttle LR shooting and hunting maybe. I was thinking about putting some $ down on a new Tikka Varmint. but really I've got rifles, maybe I should just learn to shoot one of them first!! Crazy thought eh, shoot what ya got....So here's what I've got:

Tikka t3 6.5x55, shoots 140g SST's into 1" all day
Ruger 270 Win, stainless walnut, I can't find a load this one won't shoot yet...puts 150s into 1" with every powder so far.
Ruger 77/22 hornet
Might have a Hawkeye in 264 Win mag some day...

Leupold FXIII 6x42 with target turrets
Trying to get a 3200 10x with mildots

I was thinking of putting shimmed rings on one of these and start flinging Amax's or SST and see what happens. Any thoughts? thanks "Pitched in Canada"...-38 here today...yuk
