i have a new ar15performance 5.56x42 20" 3R 7.7 twist 5/8x24 threaded fluted 4150 nitrided barrel for sale. it's a 6.8 spc wildcat. brass can be made with a redding 6.8 spc bushing dies. a 224 valkyrie die can be used to neck down the brass in one step using imperial sizing wax and proceeding gently. cases must be trimmed back 1mm. google for load data, there's plenty out there. a few are sending 80 eld's at 3k. i think most are in the 2900 arena. 75gr eld's and bergers running good too.
the barrel is new, unfired, never installed on an upper receiver.
i have a full length redding 6.8 spc bushing die, a redding .247 tiN bushing, the necessar 22ppc type s decapping rod assembly, a .224 carbide sizing button (unsure off hand if it'll work with the 22ppc decapping assembly) and a lee 224 valkyrie f.l. 3 die set and a few 2x-3x fired hornady 6.8 spc cases i necked down, sized, and trimmed...which were fired in my 6.8 arp triad barrel with warm loads.
also included one open box of 100 hornady 80 grain eld bullets. i haven't shot any, so they should all be there.
selling cause i've lost interest. $325 shipped for the package described above. payment through usps money order. ships usps priority mail. i have no issue with pp friends and family, but won't use goods&services due to the nature of the items- i.e. ar15 barrel.
sale goes to the first i'll take it followed by p.m. to arrange details of the sale.
i also have 269 new pulled primed hornady 6.8spc brass (which i believe is s&b produced brass) i will post this separately in the reloading components section. i'd run this in my 6.8 triad barrel but i'm shooting 5 shot ragged hole groups using straight hornady brass and don't need to rock the boat or want different case volumes floating around running warm loads. price is $110 shipped for this brass. same payment terms as above.
fyi...i experimented unsuccessfully necking down this hornady/s&b brass using the 224 valkyrie full length die. the valkyrie die drove the necks into the case using imperial sizing wax- even when necking down a bit at a time, backing out, re-lubing, and going a little further. this was not the case using my fired hornady brass- case hardening, no doubt. my guess is that should you wish to use this brass for the 5.56x42 you will need additional bushings and neck down in steps.
