I had to do it with the outcome of the election. So i went and bought a Rock river predator AR 10 in 308 20" ss barrel

I have the same rifle in ar15 223 and it shoots great just haven't shot the 308 yet i
hope it a shooter. i was looking for the DPMS 308 long range but this is what they had so its mine now. good r bad

Yup, That's how I felt, too!

Good or bad. I now have a POF 16" .308. I looked up lots of reviews, it's sad when they're so mixed. From a Small Arms Tech. point of view I went with the details of the designs to make my pick.

DI is great (I used to swear otherwise) in the AR-15s, and that's what most of the parts are designed for.

Seeing how AR-10s aren't so standardised in the industry, I let my dream of a Piston System AR win out.

I can hardly wait to see how it shoots!!!:D

Rock River Arms makes a good product including their triggers. Not a Timney but all right for a stock system. Ive had the Classic 20" DPMS for a couple of years now, its a very good rifle. Is that a SS bull barrel? If so I bet its heavy because my gun with the hbar barrel is heavy enough.:D

If you bought a rock river arms rifle, that was money well spent. enjoy it well.
I currently on a predator pursuit 20" my self. I absolutely love it. I'm putting back my pennies to acquire a 308 semi auto myself.

Have RRA-10 standard operator. Anyone know how to attach sling to stock? Will post a report on weapon in reloading forum when data is in.:D

Well finally a range report. After trying for the last 3 weeks to get out and shoot my ar 10 i got a chance this pasted weekend. I stop by and bought a cheap box of monarch 308 150gr just to give it a try. it took 2 rounds to get it zero so #3-5 round ever fired ended up in a group i would have been really happy shooting with my custom bolt action 308. i could cove them up with a dime so after being really happy with this group i took it out to 300 n rang the hell out of my 300yrd gong. so my friend had to give it a try he shot a 3 shot group a little bigger but i could still cover it up with a nickel he then drilled the 300yrd gong 5 straight shoots. so i think i made a great buy. the rifle is a rock river ar 10 predator 20" ss barrel. i can't wait till i get to try some handloads in it.
so for for me i'm three for three 2- ar15 1- ar10 all shoot great rock river rocks!!!!!!

Jeff, that is good to hear! These semi-autos can be a lot of fun. The hard to control trigger in the factory DPMS's are often the limiting factor. Which trigger are you using in the Rock River?

I also purchased the RRA LAR8 in 308 with the 20" SS bbl. So far I haven't put many rounds through it but I am impressed with the initial accuracy using mil surplus ammo. After I get several hundred rounds through it I will start handloading for accuracy and will then have a better idea. No complaints or manfunctions. I liked it so well I purchased a RRA .556 stripped lower receiver and built a 20" heavy bbl varmint rifle. Once again, I'm happy with the way it shoots. Both are a pleasure to shoot! Hope this helps.

Glad to hear that everyone seems to enjoy their AR-10. I managed to pick-up a Colt LE-901 but haven't put optics on it yet. Seems well built but range time will tell. Love the "bigger" bore AR's.

2 aero ar10s 1 in 6cm 1 in 6.5. the 6 wears a proof research carbon fiber and a vortex 5-25 pst2 scope. The 6.5(green camo) wears a kreiger 22' barrel and a leupold 8-25x scope. both shoot around 1/2 @100 yards with prelininary reloads
