Well, this year was supposed to be the year i transitioned from a "Build to order" manufacturer to a "Sell out of inventory" manufacturer. That transition obviously has not fully taken place thanks to the year we have all had.
however, i have been able to build a few rifles this year and sell them as in stock rifle. This is the latest:
Again, this is a brand new rifle, just finished last night, ready for shipping. Here are the specs:
Allen Precision Raptor LRSS
20 moa pinned rail
30" bartlein custom LRSS contour, 9" twist, 5r barrel
custom LRSS dual flute pattern
medium APS Painkiller muzzle brake
Jewell trigger set at 1 lb. (1-4 lb adjustment range)
Accurate Mag DSSF 5 round detachable mag system
McMillan A5 tactical stock, flat black finish, 13.75" lop, thumbwheel adjustable CP
pillar bedded
chambered in my 338 Allen Xpress (can safely shoot factory 338 lapua in a pinch)
the 338 Allen Xpress is a modern version of the 338 lapua Improved which provides better extraction performance at max pressure loads. Typically you will see 3000-3100 fps out of my Raptor LRSS rifles with the 300 gr. Berger OTM or EH.
Barrel life is nearly identical to the 338 Lapua so plenty of barrel life.
bare rifle weight is around 13 lbs. this is not a packing rifle. Its designed for use in the 800-1500 yard ranges with ease and have tested them out to 2500 yards with great results. The Raptor LRSS will run with rifles that weigh Twice as much.
as with all my rifles, this rifle will come with custom 338 AX loading die set, 100 fully formed peterson brand brass, full function tested, full load development for one bullet of choice, accuracy tested at a minimum of 1000 yards and load data from accuracy test provided with rifle. All shipping and insurance costs are also included.
total package price: $5975
turn key option is also available for this rifle, would just need to determine what optical package was wanted. Turn Key option includes harris swivel base bipod 9-13" model with leg notches and pod lock conversion installed, rifle scope of customers choice if it meets my durability standards, four nightforce ultrlight tactical rings, mounting, squaring scope, additional load velocity testing, drop chart development out to 1000 yards and drop chart validation. Rifle zeroed at customers desired range.
cerakote color finish options are also available.
this is a beast of a rifle, long barrel life, extreme ballistic performance, very soft recoiling rifle, hard to believe really. Could have it before Christmas easily. This will be the last new, in stock APS rifle sold in 2020. As always, component prices will likely increase at the turn of the year also so likely best price on a New in case APS Raptor LRSS rifle.
