Here is another good source of very reasonably priced custom actions.
Dave Tooley is selling his own actions now. Dave is a superb LR smith and built my first LR gun (6.5-06 AI) and got me started in the LR BR game. He is a master of making the 338 lapua shoot lights out. In fact he is the behind the scenes gunsmith for one of the top 2 mftrs for the military 338 sniper rifle bids going on. My bet is they will win the contract.
He is building a variety of short and long actions in either port and bolt configurations and has them in stock now.
Price wise, this is a great deal and I just ordered a RBRP SA in 308 bolt for a 6.5x47 tactical I am building. No way you can take Rem action, true it and change the extactor for this price. That is not even counting the Melonite coating on the bolt bodies, firing pins and all the other extras.
"Remington clones 1.350". Tricked out firing pin assembly, small diameter tip, 8-40 scope base screw holes, pinned trigger, bolt bodies are Melanite treated with either a Sako or M16 style extractor.
