I just have to share this with somebody. Very excited about getting it back from the smith.
I'll try and remember the details.

It's shooting lapua brass, CCI 450's, 130gr VLD's over 39gr of varget. Loves this load.

Rem 700 SA
Kreiger 25" 1-9 twist sendaro contour.
Jewell hvr
nightforce 5.5-22, ring and bases as well.
us optics hinged bubble level.
Manners mcs-t5a with the digital camo paint job
Manners/badger mcs-dbm mini chassis
PTG bolt, with all the goodies done to it.
threaded 5/8x24 for TI gemtech sandstorm suppressor.

Smithed by Shawn Thomason in Craigmont, ID

think that's most of it. the farthest I've shot it was 1480yds and that was today. That's a little far for this little guy. It's almost transonic at that point. But it's shooting excellent to around 1000-1100. So much fun to shoot after shooting my bigger guns all the time. You don't need ear protection and it's easy to spot your own hits. this thing is a blast! thanks for looking, i just had to share:)

Very nice. I hope to build something similar one day. I just love that stock, and... everything else on that rifle.

thanks guys. I built because I was shooting my custom 300rum to much, and this will be a easier way to practice, at least that is how i justified it;). I'll be doing a lot of varmint shooting, some deer(but the 300 will get to nod for that most of the time). Lots of rocks will and already have been killed by it, and I think I'm going to start shooting f-class as well.

Sounds legit to me! :D

1480 yds. may be a tat far but try you some 123 gr. SHPBT w/40.5 grs. N550! This is what mine does from 1300 yds. The white circle is 20" diameter. 8 shots here; 1st shot was the one at 12 o/clock...came down 1/2 MOA to get centered! The rifle/cartridge do this consistently at this distance! Varget has shot better than this!

Varget does really well also at 38.5 grs. using Lapua brass and BR4 primers!

NOTE: Made an error on the original Varget load guys; I posted 39.5 and it should be as I corrected above!!

Great shooting! I love this caliber, so much fun. looks like you have a shooter right there! thanks for posting.
i've got some 123's, but almost don't even want to spend the time working on them with the way the 130's are shooting. i may have to give them a try though with results like that.

Dude that rifle is SICK!!!! my 6.5x47 will be done as soon as Lawton gets me my barrel back from boron nitrite coating...man u have me more anxious than ever now. I will try your load on my rifle. I'm going to try 123 scenars,139 scenars, 130 and 140 bergers. Ive got mine in a McMillan A3 with badger 10 round det mags. Can't wait!! I'll have pics up soon!!
