West Coast H,
I was hoping to get out this weekend but was not able to. I'll be sure to post the out come of my ladder load test. I saw your thread over at LRO and know of your interest in the 215 and 230 Bergers. Im there also. The velocity numbers you mentioned are possible. You can Follow along at "My First Custom 300RUM".

Actually, Len buys and sells beautiful rifles. I don't think he's added gunsmithing to his many talents.

He personally doesn't build them, he contracts with some really good smiths that do the work for him. The beauty of buying from Len is that he always has a few completed rifles in stock, and if he doesn't have it in stock it can be built in 6-10 weeks instead of 6-10 months.

WCH, I havent put it on a scale yet but Im thinking its somewhere in the 12-13lb. range.

Len had this rifle to me 8-9 weeks just like he said he would.

Finally had time to get to the range this morning.
These are my results:

230gr. Hybrid Bergers lit by Retumbo. COAL 3.810

86.0gr. - 2920,2941
86.5gr. - 2929,2941
87.0gr. - 2923,2951
87.5gr. - 2990,2977
88.0gr. - 3013,2988
88.5gr. - 3008,3024
89.0gr. - 3030,3003
89.5gr. - 3054,3041
90.0gr. - 3046,3043
90.5gr. - 3082,3048

No pressure signs observed.
(This is in my rifle only. Not all rifles will have the same results.)
I have loaded up another ladder at 91.0, 91.5 and 92.0 (4 rounds of each) and have seated the bullet out to a COAL 3.820.
Stay tuned.
