I just got a Savage model 111 in the 300 win mag I'm looking for some load advice I'm planning to hunt with this gun but I'm new to the caliber so any info will help thanks

It has a 1 in 10 twist and I was thinking on using RL 22 with 165-168 grn bullet

I have used 22 in the 300 win with good success I used 180gr though for the 165 or168 I would start at 76 grains

If it were me and you want to try some Alliant powder I would pick 23 over 22, 23 is alot more stable.

I run Ramshot magnum. 82grs with 165 80grs with 180. These are max. Use a fed 215m primer.

I am running the burger 185 juggernaut with 79 grains of H 1000 powder and a CCI 250 primer cartridge base to ogive 2.890 inches with a .010 jump

If you have a 1-10 twist try also the 168gr Barnes t t s x. Flat shooting and would work great for cou s e or elk.

I got a 110 High Country 300WM recently. 1/10" twist. 24" barrel.

Bullet: 212 ELDX
Powder: AA4350 65.5gr
Primer: WLRM
Case: Win or PPU
COAL: 3.475" (mag length)
MV: 2755
SD: 4

I shot two groups with same powder and charge. Different cases comparing WIN with PPU (Privi Partisan) Same POI and velocity very close. After the first group I went .3 mil down. I could have put all these right on top of each other for a .46" group!

I'm testing RL-23 presently. Velocity up above 2800fps, but groups are slightly over MOA.

AA4350 working great for 168gr Amax too. Although you want a hunting bullet, so I'd stick to Barnes or bonded bullets.
