This is the MTAC bullet, it does have a shallow hp but is not an expanding bullet,
also I got clarification from Cutting Edge about the construction of the bullet in regards to the "bearing surface" of this bullet some of you had ? about
As I stated in the 8mm thread (about this 192 gr MTAC 7mm bullet) it does have a shorter bearing surface (.490") than the lead core jacketed bullets from 175 grs and up, It is in fact a bore rider bullet that is designed with a taper just forward of the seal tight band that reduces bullet diameter to .277" (7mm bore dimensions) and allows bullet alignment in the bore and does not require an exessively long throat as I previously stated,
My mistake and I apologize to all for the incorrect info which probably contributed to the confusion ...
oal of the bullet is 1.715" with a bearing surface of .490"
