Need some info. please

I have a Win. model 670a and thought it was the same as the model so I got bases for the model 70 post 64. They do not fit the 670a. The front base fits but the rear base shole spacing is way too short.
What am I missing here ?

If your bases are Weaver,you need a #47 for the rear as opposed to a #49.Hope this helps.

The bases are Leupold and are marked "post 64 "
