I had a buddy take his stock and b/a to get cerakoted by a man who supposedly makes a living doing it... I saw some of his previous work and it looked pretty good. After getting it back, this cat will starve before too long if this is his only source of income. The b/a wasn't terrible but had some issues. The stock is what blew my mind... I have no clue how somebody could even send this back to a customer. This WAS a blemish free other than rattle canned, hs stock off of an LTR.
The b/a will go into the stock and flop and turn like you've never seen before. Where he had voids after sandblasting or whatever he done to this stock, I smeared bondo in the them. Tap tally reshaped the stock... Terrible job to say the least... After his silly putty job, he primered the stock. His tape job on the recoil pad was also mind blowing.
I could scrape what he called "cerakote" off with my thumbnail with hardly any pressure at all.
To make a long story short, he needs another stock. He needs this stock with bdl cutout or something similar. He doesn't want a palm swell. He's tight on money but I'm willing to help him out a little to get his rifle right.
