i am wanting everyone's opinions on two scopes.

2019 Sightron SIII 6-24x50 LRZSMOA
24.3 ounces
Zero stop
Nice tactical turrets

VX6HD 3-18x50 firedot reticle
20.3 ounces
Zero stop
Turrets are ok.

I can get both for around the same price. I am sure both are good clear scopes. I have looked through a VX5HD and it's pretty good glass. The turrets seem nice on the sightron and they boast that their EXACTRACK is spot on. The leupold is lighter by 4 ounces.

If price is the same, which would you get? I don't need anyone telling me any other scopes please. Just stick to these two.

The VX6HD without a doubt!
I had the SIII and was completely unimpressed.

The turret actually broke internally, and long story short the company would not stand behind it.
The manager said it broke from being dropped, and when I stated that it was never even bumped he called me a liar straight up.

I had to pay to have it fixed and promptly sold it, those guys are terrible to deal with!

I had a vx6 3-18 non hd, and it was a great scope.
I've since moved to the Mark 5 HD and it's fantastic, best turrets I've ever used and the PR1 moa reticle is awesome.

One more thing about the SIII, the glass was pretty poor especially in brighter conditions.
It would wash out and had a bluish distortion.

If they are the same price, I would buy the Leupold. I Love the SIII (have one will buy another), but the Leupy glass/magnification range outshines it in my opinion.

I have both and they are both good scopes.
The sightron S111 are some of the best scopes you can get for the money. With the new zero stop they are a great buy. The glass is good. The tracking is spot on. I have 2 of these. The Exactrack is the real deal.
The Leupold VX6 HD 3-18 Has some of the best glass of all my scopes and tracking so far has been good. But I had the tracking on a non hd VX6 go south so still have a concern with Leupold . Do have a VX5 HD and tracking has been good so far on it.

I have March, Nightforce SHV scopes and like them all with March being my Favorite, but for the money it is really hard to beat Sightron S111 and hard to beat Leupold VX6 and 5 HDs for Glass.

I also have sent both sightrons back for custom work and have had great service with there customer service.

For a hunting scope definitely the Leupold. I do have both scopes and for hunting I like the 3 power. And feel the 18 power is still pretty good for distance.
As already stated lot of the shots are 100 yards and closer and I too always carry my scopes set on the lowest power setting. Then there is the item that everyone hopes they never use. The warranty. Leupold seems to have a good one. While I do like my sightron between the two scopes those would be my main reasons to go with the Leupold.

I have a SIII 6-24x50 MOA 2 reticle with zero stop. I have been very happy with it so far. The glass seems to be a little better than my Nightforce SHV but not quite as good as my NXS. So far the turrets have been spot on dialing out to 525 and back to my 100 yard zero. No experience with the Leupold.

Can't help with either of them, but I'd recommend a hard look at the Zeiss V4 and V6 series scopes before finalizing a decision.

I've got the VX 5 and VX 6 and both track great. The 5 is firedot which I actually use alot when coyote hunting in super low light.

Have both Sightron and Leupolds and would go with Leupold, Sightron are great glass but I think the Leupolds perform better in low light.
