Need desiccant suggestion for large gun safe

As we all know, our rifle inventory tends to grow over time, especially if our wives aren't looking. I just ordered another rifle, which unfortunately puts my inventory at one over my current safe's maximum capacity. So, I've just purchased a used 33 cubic foot gun safe, and I'm looking for suggestions for a desiccant solution for it.

I've seen threads referring to the small desiccant packets, but even for a very large 50 gram pack, I'd need at least 153 of 'em! However, I've got to save some room for the rifles. A power dehumidifier could work, but I'd need to remember to empty the collection reservoir, without fail, and there aren't many things I remember to do without fail. Anyone have any suggestions? I suppose I could sell some of my rifles and use a smaller safe, but that's not really a practical solution, is it?

my safe is above ground level , the goldenrod is working well for me . I'm not sure how well they work in extreme conditions .

I take out all of the dividers, put the rifles in soft cases (nicer storage sleeves really), and put half of them upside down. I get a lot more in the safe and don't have safe rash. Then you can postpone the new safes a little longer...

That's a great idea, I had a couple of a boat I used to have, kept them in the engine compartment in the cold months. I just checked Amazon and they're pretty cost-effective, I think I'll get one.

The safe came with a hygrometer in it, and we have some pretty technical guys on the forum, does anyone know of a humidity threshold below which guns are considered fairly safe from corrosion? That would help me know if I still need desiccant in addition to the goldenrod. Thanks.

Suck out too much moisture and you could damage wood stocks.

Jeff, move here to Az. No need for dehumidifiers, we keep a five gallon bucket of water in the fifth wheel to prevent the interior from getting too dry. If moving isn't feasible, I'd go with the goldenrod.

My safes run between 40-45% year round with no corrosion issues. I tend to overdo it on humidity control with goldenrods and at least three bags desiccant In each.

I'm a big fan of gun socks. As mongo mentioned, they are great at preventing safe dings, but there is an even better reason to use them as I found out in watching the attached video,
