Need a New Load for Carpenter Bees

I used borate salt on my house before staining. Was told anything that gnaws or ingests wood treated with borates it will die. I haven't had a insect problem yet in 16 years. Red pine logs.

I've seen them use counter sunk screw holes but not their own.

Carpenter bee traps work wonders even when you are at work and simple to make.
Insecticides work too if you know what you are doing

Shooting them is more fun than both

Thanks
Buck

I don't know that the salt guns will have the energy to take down a carpenter bee at 20 feet. Perhaps with proper shot placement.
It's been my experience that the Bug A Salt can handle flys and mosquitos up to 6'. However, when held point blank to a wasps head will not get the job done. I would assume that applies to bees too. Though no experience with bees. To be fair I would consider my set up pistol length and by no means LR. Good Luck!

Google Viper spray, safe for wood finishes and last about 6 months before retreatment. If it is rainy, I retreat every 2 months. I mix it with Martin's IG, it prevents larvae from maturing.

We have a scorpion and flea problem because of sand and oak trees, the youngest is the only family member that literally gets eaten alive by fleas and chiggers, so I aggressively treat the areas right around the house, chicken coop, farrowing shed, swing set and trampoline.

Fire ants hate the stuff as well, I keep a small hand sprayer in the Ranger and on the tractor for spot treatment.

Oh, I forgot to mention that I hate chiggers, fleas, and ticks as well. I am generally not a hate filled individual, but there are not many insects that I like. Living in the south has some disadvantages.
