Seating 7mm Berger bullets.
Nosler brass.
Hornady Custom Grade Full Length die, Series 1.
Question is as I seat the bullet on some cases the bullet seems to drag as it goes into the neck. Most go in smoothly but every 6 or 7th case they become hard to seat.
I assume this will affect velocity, so is this a neck tension problem with the expander ball or die set?
I brush each neck at least 3 times during case prep. I check for small burrs bent case necks and anything else I can see that may be in the way as the bullet seats. I have checked the bullets for concentricity which are perfect.
I don't neck turn but I assume the expander ball makes the inside of each case neck the same size, so why why would some bullets seat smoothly and others not?
