What a great hunt! 3 generations together is certainly something special. The bears are just icing (but very nice icing!) on the cake. You're a lucky man to experience such a hunt, congratulations to all of you!

Nice bear that you have there. The best trophy that you have from that entire hunt is that last photo with your son and father together. That photo is priceless in my book!! I black bear hunt with my son to make those same photographs/memories with him. I am pushing 73, we just built two rifles to shoot more frequently at the range. Yesterday we spent the entire day at the range just breaking in barrels and making great memories like yours. It is nice to see your dad still up and able to get out to make those memorable trips. You are correct in your original post, trophies are on the wall, memories like this are in the heart and preserved there forever. Great post thanks for sharing it with us.
