Those high BR prices have caused me to re work my pet reloads. I've re-done 14 different cartridges so far. By and large I'm finding that Winchester and Federal primers go bang just as loud as the bench rest primers do for a lot less money.

I'm using very old Federal primers I bought locally- an estate deal. Paid next to nothing for a full box of 1,000. Been shooting them up the past few years. They go bang and I've even run them while doing a Peterson brass 'torture test'. Same 10 pieces of brass, lot of IMR4064 and old as dirt Fed 210's. Great SD/ES for a .308 and I'm on the 10th reload so far. They do the job.

I'm not mortgaging my left node for BR primers, lol.
