My new WOA upper ( 18" Varmint 1 in 7" twist which is Fluted under hand guard & front of barrel. .223/5.56 ) was delivered to my home 5-15-14. Here it is put together with my Colt M4 lower which has a Giessele SSA-E trigger installed. I am very surprised that with all the extras you see ( scope, bipod & sling ) less the magazine it is perfectly balanced just in front of the magazine well.

Will try to do a ladder test with 69 gr. Sierra Match Kings to see what it likes best.

WOA UPPER on left.

PS: By the way I really like the Bushnell AR/223 scope with a 4.5-18x40mm zoom.

GEE!!! I got my reloads completed for the ladder test and now it is raining. I'll have to do it during the week or next weekend.

Finally got to shoot my first group with my deer hunting load of Sierra 65 gr. Game Kings. Two shots to sight in the scope then 5 shots at 100 yds. :D My next 5 shots for my ladder test with 69 gr. Sierra Match Kings was even smaller. :):):):)

I have the same upper, fluting and all. It is a very good shooter.

I just changed my scope mounts to Warne Ultra High Aluminum QD which are 1.5" from the top of the Picatinny rail to the center of the 1" scope tube. They are ultra light, but very strong and give me a perfect cheek weld and eye relief. :)

I also have a B-SQUARE bubble level to help me hold the rifle vertical from shot to shot. You can see it just behind the rear scope mount.

I have yet to see where anyone that has gotten a WOA varmint barrel say they were not satisfied with their guns accuracy.

I'm jealous been looking to buy a WOA myself and seeing this thread is not helping my self control

I paid WOA 100$ down with my plastic then sent a postal money order each month until it was paid up before the delivery date and saved the (18$ ?) credit card fee. Two things worked this way. 1= made payments easier and 2= Mama didn't know how much I spent. HE HE. :D

Now it is complete!!!

PS: I made the mistake of buying a complete M4 then put a Giessele SSA-E trigger in it by myself. (easy watch on youtube) Then when it was not accurate enough I ordered the WOA 18" 1 in 7" twist varmint full upper and paid an extra 100$ for them to flute the barrel to save weight and disperse heat faster. With a loaded 20 round magazine + sling + bipod + scope & rings it weighs eleven pounds. <<<<( yes I think the fluting was worth it. )

What I should have done is buy a mil spec lower then the trigger then the WOA upper. I would have saved almost the price of the WOA upper.

Hope this helps.

I picked up 10 striped mil spec lowers ($39 each)a month or so ago and have been accumulating parts here and there by November I may have a couple of them built I'm planning one light weight m4 but at least three varmint target guns just got 3 stripped uppers this week all in A3. I already have one 20" hbar bushy it's ok for accuracy but not great I shot a 5 shot moa group yesterday with black hills 55 soft point ammo. Will most defiantly try a WOA barrel or two been leaning toward trying a lother wolther also. May crack and just order a complete upper from WOA though.

WOW, You'll have a whole arsenal. WOA will give you as good a shooter as anyone.
