I finally turned my model 10 Savage into a 6BR With a criterion barrel. This barrel comes off of my GRS savage. The barrel is 24" fluted and has a break on it. The round count is under 400 with absolutely no fire cracking or visible wear on the land. And it shoots great.
I believe the break is a 30 caliber brake and it works just fine.
