I have been working on this thing for awhile now and I finally am closing the gap. I am excited about it and I wanted to share the details with everyone.

I had the barrel, bolt, ejector, extractor, cocking piece and every bolt Nitrided.

I just need to bead blast the oxidized trigger guard and install the trigger and it'll be done.

Here are the detailes

-Rem Model 7 action
-6.5x47 Lapua
-Brux Barrel @ 25" (in between a #2 and #3 contour)
-PTG .2" Lug
-PTG 1 Peice Bolt
-High Tech Specialties Stock
-Painted in Sniper Flat Grey with black speckletone.
-1/2 Recoil pad
-High Tech ADL Trigger Guard.

All said and done it weights 5 lbs 9 oz.

I could have gone lighter, but it is a perfect balance of weight and capability.

Oh man that is a slick looking piece! That barrel looks just right as far as profile/length and the fluting is a great touch! Why did you not coat the reciever? That's a great looking rifle either way, I bet your excited as heII to finally have finished it. What was your total with smithing?

I wanted the 2 tone look of the stainless receiver against the black.

My buddy has a lathe so he did the chambering and truing.

I finished the stock, fit the pad, bedded and painted it.

Im not into it too much
