I shot this girl at 527 yards with an 18" AR10 using a handloaded 195 grain Sierra Tipped Matchking. She was bedded down on an old logging flat with half a dozen other doe. One of tge heaviest doe I have killed in several years.

I watched them for about 15 minutes before she stood up to stretch. She dropped in her tracks and then slid down the hill a few yards. The exit hole is the size of a silver dollar, fantastic performance.

Awesome! I got my cow this year with a 155 TMK out of my .308. What's your muzzle velocity with a 195 and 18" barrel. It obviously works!
I am averaging 2575fps and using a 9oz buffer and flat recoil spring. I am sitting on position 2 of the adjustible gas block. It is a stout load and leaves mild ejector swipes but no primer flattening or pulled metal from ejector.

Awesome, congrats 😎

i wish my results w these bullets was that good.
Congrats on a fine shot and deer.

I shot a decent little 8 point about a month ago at 425 yards. Pretty decent cross wind, very happy w shot placement. Behind the shoulder, double lung. Ran about 50 yards and dropped. Small entrance and exit, very little blood.

I did not have the opportunity to field dress so I can't speak to the internal damage. I'm guessing it thrashed the lungs pretty good and took time to fill w blood. Small entrance and exit hindered blood trail.

Out of a 308 I built w a blue printed action. Varget powder behind the tipped 165 grain tipped doing 2770 fps at the muzzle.

W regular match kings and the hollow point game kings, this gun easily does 1/2 moa. Dream to shoot. W the tipped game kings it's still under an moa, but not as good as the match kings. But plenty good enough for 5- 600 yard shots.
Tags a 6" steel plate at 500 every time if I do my part.

I'm sure it would have done more damage w a shoulder shot.

Thinking about the horn eldx to try.
Interesting game can pic,

Moment of truth.

I find the regular gamekings more accurste as well but I traded into 500 of these tmks and decided to try them out. They have been really accurate in all my 308s but do not seem to like the higher velocites of my 300prc

I can't get the 165 TGK to shot out of any of my .30 cals.
I've had good luck with the 130 in the man bun though.
