i was looking at rifles with big recoil and i notcied weatherby claims 50% recoil redujction with the cylinder style brake .and i have seen baffle muzzle brakes claim 90-100% recoil reduction . how much recoil reduction can you really get the the average large baffle brake ? one thing had me interested was i was lookng at the 950 jdj and it was listed at 110 lbs im thinking wow . but even at that weight it has 237 ft lbs of recoil at 12 recoil fps. but with a baffle muzzle brake very large one 90% reduction would be 207 ftlbs out of the recoil factor so it would have 30 ftlbs of recoil .
