Last fall a customer got in contact with Steve of Hammer Bullets wanting one bullet for his Moose, Bear, and Caribou hunt in Newfoundland. He would be using his Model 70, 300 WSM. Steve suggested the 166 Hammer Hunter.
Moose was shot 280 yards. First shot was low. Second shot in the shoulder quickly dispatched the moose. He was able to recover the bullet. Upon recovery he realized the low shot actually double lunged the moose.
Three days later they spotted a nice bear over a mile a way. They closed the distance to within 100 yards. One shot through the heart quickly dispatched the large black bear.
On their return trip from the bear hunt they spotted two bull caribou. First shot was far back but clipped a lung and the liver. The second shot through the shoulder dispatched the caribou. No bullets where recovered in either the bear or caribou.
Congratulations Jens thanks for sharing your Newfoundland hunt with Hammer Bullets.
