Wasnt too long ago a guy brought me a Montana bbl and action, brand new, it was chambered for 300wsm if i remember right, the chamber was .100 short. I showed him the problem so he sent it back. Was returned to him about a month later all fixed, acording to them. He took it out to work up some loads, the shells came out looking differnt than when they went in. The chamber was now too deep, about .075 He then said screw it im not sending it back again so i shortened the bbl tennon and headspaced it.
