This year I drew a rifle cow elk tag for the custer national forest around ashland montana. I had big plans on doing a decent amount of scouting for this tag this summer/fall. With covid going on some big work projects got postponed to this summer/fall from the spring and I have not had time to get down there and scout. I'll have one weekend in two weeks to go down there but that will be about it before hunting season. I know people think I'm asking for their honey hole, no I am not at all, I would rather find them on my own. But if anyone has any pointers of general areas for me to hit scouting it would be much appreciated. I don't know the area super well and will kinda be going in there dark.
