I've got a Model 71 chambered in 348 that I'd like to sell. I've had it a few months but I realize it's not exactly my thing. It is a 24" barrel model with a Lyman 56 receiver sight. It was manufactured in 1953. The stock shows a good amount of handling wear but the metal is mostly very good with the exception being the underside of the receiver (carry wear). The rifling is sharp and looks very good but looks like there is some light freckling. The front sight also looks bent somehow. What you see is what you get. I'll include the case since it will help with the shipping.
Included in this sale will be (figures are approximate)
*The rifle with sling and receiver sight
*50 rounds of virgin brass in unopened bag
*39 rounds of prepped brass that I believe is unfired
*17 rounds of original Winchester ammo (200 grain Silvertip)
*40 rounds of 1970 vintage hand loads (half is 200 grain with a load that checks out according to my manuals, the other half I believe is 250 grain of and unknown recipe)
*Lee Deluxe Dies
*Remaining portion of 100 round box of Hornady bullets
*About 17 rounds of my loads in virgin brass with 200 grain Hornady bullets with a near-max load of H414
*Whatever once fired brass I have (20 rounds roughly)
*A brass blade Skinner replacement front sight
I would rather sell this and use the funds to upgrade the optics on my 7mm, or buy an M1 Garand or M1A.
Any handloads are sold with the understanding that they are to be used at your own risk, and are intended to be used as components.
I have this listed on another site, so I reserve the right to sell it locally first. I also reserve the right to refuse sale to anyone. Buyer will pay shipping and insurance.
