I have a new unchambered stainless Number 4 profile Pac-Nor barrel in the shed that is 28" long. It is in .338 Calibre.

Is this barrel suitable for a .338 RUM?

If so what would be the recomended finished length after chambering and cutting the barrel crown?

Thanks............

yes a 4 is fine.
your finished blank will be 26 to 27 max after removing enough on the muzzle end for the lapping wash-out.

Thanks Coyboy,
It should make a good all round rifle with a bit of LR ability as well.
