Offered for sale is a new unfired 416 stainless barrel chambered for 30/06. It is a 5 groove, 1:11.27 twist 28" barrel. This barrel is single point cut rifled with the 5R Russian groove profile. The blank is profiled to the original M24 sniper weapon system contour, .900" at the muzzle, but accommodates the 1.055" Savage requirement at the breech. This contour is similar to the LV #7. This barrel is lapped and optically inspected and is a great upgrade for your long action Savage tactical rifle. The muzzle is threaded for 5/8-24 and will accept many cans or muzzle brakes. A thread protector cap is included.
