Closest 1000 yard range for you will be in Lake City near Cadillac.
Maybe you could find some longer ranges shooting down some power line clearings. But that's risky and not 100% legal. We just have so much cover from the trees in MI.

I've noticed that there are a few trees here. 
Kinda stinks moving from Oregon where there were tons of clear cuts to shoot in about as far as you would ever want to shoot.
