Meopta durability????

What is the general consensus about them?

I have a buddy who mounted a Meopta Meopro optika 5 on his Ruger #1 338 Mag.. It is a 2x10x42 PA

For those that have used these scopes, how durable or recoil proof are they?

I through experience can say they are built like tanks and have very good glass. That includes the Bino and scope line, however they are heavy.

Brother has a pair that he backed over with pickup and came out just fine except for dusty tire tracks on them.

Yes they are heavy. This one is 21 oz Like a NF NXS 2.5X10x42mm Compact!

GREAT recommendation! I haven't heard anything bad about Meopta at all. Everyone says similar/same things - high quality at phenomenal value $. Seems like they are definitely flying under the radar here in the States...which is good for pricing lol

I think where they shine the most is if you wear glasses.
They seem to work very well for us that do.

Back when the K-dot was THE thing to have in 3 gun they got the everloving snot beat out of them, held zero, tracked fine, and had better glass than anything you could get. I still have one and it is still fantastic.

My only complaint about this one seems to be getting behind it right to have the scope Light up completely is difficult. And I do wear glasses, but I like everything else about it.

i wasn't aware some scopes play nicer with folks that wear glasses than others .
any idea if the tract toric 2.5-15 FFP also plays nicer with folks that wear glasses ?

I have the Optika6 and love it. I think it is very well done for the price. I like the glass and it agrees with my eyes and what I prefer. Tracks perfectly so far. Heavy duty.
I like scopes in many price ranges, depending on what it is going on, and this is one that will be hard to move.

Have had three of them and two was brought with the rifle has to the buyer it was a deal breaker, the third has been on my Bergara 6.5 cm It's a 6-30x56 Optika 6. It tracks great, clear edge to edge with great glass even moreso for the price! For the price it's a great buy.

I had a 3-18x FFP Optika6, and while the internals seemed to be fine, everything else felt questionable. The turrets were loose and felt cheap, the magnification ring felt like it was too easy to move, and the overall body/finish were kind of fragile and subject to wear. I sold it and bought another Element Optics Titan which I think is twice the scope for less money.
