Long story behind this one, but I'll do my best to explain. Originally it was inletted for a long remmy 700. Plans changed, I wanted a .338 LM, so I purchased a Stiller Predator single shot, which is .050 larger on the diameter, and .465 longer. It was then opened up to accept the action and the recoil lug location was moved forward. You're probably wondering why the piece of wood in the bottom? Since the Stiller was a single shot, the wood was used used as a filler for bedding since there was no need for a magazine. I still retained the badger ordnance bottom metal for the build, so it has an M5 bottom inlet. (BTW, The badger ordnance floorplate is not available) Plans changed again and have long since sold the barreled action, but kept the stock thinking I may use it again. Nah, I haven't. So , given it's condition I'd be willing to let it go at a deal. If a man had a Stiller he wanted to use, it would be great, but I think with a little work, you could get I back to 700 shape. Like the title says, "Project/Budget Stock". It does have the thumb wheel check piece, and the adjustable spacer system. So it wasn't cheap when purchased new. Also, the barrel channel is a Rock Creek AMU. The screws have a little rust, but nothing that can't be cleaned up or replaced. Asking $425 for it, but I may bend a little.
