Mauser 98 Action

I have a HVA 1600 action, with alloy bottom metal, Dakota 3 position (M70 style) safety and Timney trigger. It's basically a small ring M98. If you're looking to build something lighter than a traditional Mauser rifle this is what you want.

However, it'll be a little more difficult to find a stock for. No one that I know of currently makes a drop in stock for it. McMillan will bed it in one of their Mauser or Sako style stocks, but you have to send them the barreled action. So you're looking at $6-800 for the stock plus fitting if you use McMillan.

I have an Argentine M98, barreled with a 26" Shilen and Timney trigger. All parkerized. The laminate stock has given me many problems so you can use it for firewood or template for bedding. It shoots great if you can bed it into a non laminate stock.
DM me if you want to.
