Just tried the lee with a q tip, I was using dry hbn lube, this lee stuff makes it super smooth, felt kinda grindy with dry lube, I always said some stuff lee makes is really good and this lee is perfect for mandrel, thanks.

Hoppes #9. Take the bottle, tip it upside down with the lid on, then turn it up right and take the lid off. Wipe a Q-tip across the lid and get some solvent on it. Then wipe it lightly inside the necks. After 10-15 case get the Q-tip moist again. When I'm done, I take a clean Q-tip and wipe the inside of the necks followed by a stiff nylon brush run in and out of the necks.

Or, you can use moly on a Q-tip and do the same thing. I've been experimenting with moly in the case necks for mandrel sizing and to prevent cold welding.

This is what I have been using which I would think is not much different than graphite but not sure how consistently it goes on from round to round and doesn't feel real smooth in mandrel, I didn't realize the lee stuff I already had actually does dry and I was looking for something to prevent cold weld as well as mandrel die.

Well I've been reloading these PMC brass for my AR-15, I know people say they are crap, but regardless when seating the bullet I've been getting a tiny bit of a ring around the bullet which I think is slightly deforming the bullet, I even annealed them again till they turned slightly red and they were still tight as I had to adjust the seating die down more, well just tried the lee stuff and the seating has much less initial force when bullet is first entering mouth and feels smooth when seating and now ring is gone, have no idea why these PMC brass is so tight but it is compared to anything else.

All I can say is thank you seabeeken, this lee lube seems to be the cats ***, mandrel goes through super smooth and seating is smooth and I think it will stop the cold weld, runout on this PMC brass is better too, averaging .0015, was not that good before, I wasn't expecting it to be good but so far working great, can't wait to shoot it, seating is more consistent also.

I spray my fired cases with the lanolin/alcohol mixture...with the necks aimed towards the front of a zip lock bag, seal the bag , roll them around. Then take them out, let the alcohol evaporate and resize, then expand with the mandrel. Tumble to get the lube off and go on to annealing, etc..rsbhunter
