figured id share my 2014 maine black bear. i took it on the last day of a 6 day hunt. ended up being 340 lbs. happy happy happy

Nice!!!! Very nice!!!! Did you go with a guide, or on your own? I went to Maine one time. The guide service I chose was really bad.

I went with a guide. It's a huge hit or miss up there. Tons of guides who don't put much effort into it. Many guide push hunters to shoot any bear even if it's 90 lbs just to keep their numbers up.

my guide was far from perfect but was a very hard working guy and wants to take big bears, not just anything bear

oh and this was far from a long range shot , just a mere 25 feet
